At the end of the 19th century, the Latvian symbolist painters fought for a strong wind of modernism to blow in Riga which already had the visual arts in Europe in its ban. Velvety impressions, gray-white landscapes and strange and mysterious scenes: a selection of some fifty works including wonderful paintings, etchings and drawings of Rozentals, Purvlitis and Walter. A real pleasure and worth exploring.
